Ford Focus Recycled Interior

Ford, the American carmaker, announced it has used recycled pants and shirts to cover some parts of the new Ford Focus interior. Certain areas of the car, like the carpet backing and sound-absorption materials, are made from cottons squeezed out of recycled clothing.

"One of our key goals is to use more recycled or renewable materials without compromising performance or durability," Carrie Majeske, the company's product sustainability manager, said in the statement.
