Lincoln Looks To Release 7 New Models By 2014

There will be seven new LINCOLN models headed to Gurley Leep Ford LINCOLN in South Bend by 2014.

The American auto maker hopes to have over half a dozen smaller, faster and greener cars on the road. Coming off a 25% sales increase, LINCOLN announced plans to the automotive press earlier this month.

LINCOLN hopes to shed the reputation of being a car driven by grandparents, and hopes to target a younger demographic. The company also wants to separate themselves as just a rebranded version of their parent company.

"As part of a billion dollar investment, the company will launch new or updated versions of the MKS, MKZ, MKX, MKT and Navigator. Additionally, LINCOLN will gain a new entry-level sedan and, possibly, a small crossover." This, according to car website World Car Fans.1

LINCOLN vehicles will have such stylish options as a retractable glass roof, push-button gear shifting and new center consoles. All models will reportedly include sportier exhausts, eight-speed transmissions, and all-wheel drive optional. An updated LINCOLN MKS, debuting this November at the Los Angeles Auto Show, will give us a hint of the auto maker's future.
